Create your own cooking classes!
After much feedback and consideration, we are changing our cooking class approach to better fit the needs of our guests. We will now be offering our full range of classes from our popular knife skills class to global tapas to all teen classes so you can create your own classes. This means no wait list for full classes and no waiting for the class you want next month! Now your culinary experience will be customized to fit your skill level and cooking needs whether you want to learn how to cook with beer or learn how to make basic sauces to enhance the flavors of your dishes. Creating your class is simple with 3 steps:
1. Gather at least 6 of your friends, family or colleagues
2. Select a class from our diverse class list and fill out our Classes Inquiry Form.
3. We will coordinate with you to schedule the class based on availability and put together the cooking materials. All you have to do is show up, cook, and enjoy the fruits of your labor!
We thank you for your loyalty and we look forward to having you at Open Kitchen!

Types of Cooking Classes
Open Kitchen offers adult and children/teen cooking classes. Listed below is a brief description of these classes.
We offer two different formats: Hands-on and Demonstration. Most of our adult classes are approximately 2 ½ to 3 hours in duration.
Hands-on: These are full participation classes where you take part in practicing techniques and preparing the menu items. These classes are smaller in size – from about 10 to 20 participants
Demonstration: These classes are designed for you to observe the chef as he/she explains and shows recipe preparation and cooking techniques. These classes are larger in size.
During and after the class you will taste the menu items either made by you in the hands-on class or demonstrated by the Culinary Instructor, along with a beverage. Alcoholic beverages (a glass of wine or beer) are served in accordance with our policies. In both formats, participants are provided with recipes to take notes and write comments as they watch and learn the important details of culinary techniques, ingredient choices, equipment selection and meal timing. Participants are encouraged to ask questions, interact with the Culinary Instructor and each other, and have fun!
