The Open Kitchen Santa Fe culinary team, headed by owner Hue-Chan Karels, is excited to bring a total culinary experience to your home kitchen with intimate, private cooking classes that are hands-on, interactive, and fun.
Drawing from her years of culinary experience as a cook, world traveler, foodie, and owner of Open Kitchen, Hue-Chan has created a collection of globally and seasonally inspired MENUS that can be mastered at home for both beginners and seasoned cooks. Or, a customized menu can be designed around your desired cuisines, themes, or dietary preferences.
Whether you’re planning a unique social gathering with family and friends or an inspiring business event, the gathering of people to cook a meal and then enjoying it together is a magical human experience.
Our teaching style is comprehensive, friendly, and packed with invaluable cooking and baking tips that will build your kitchen confidence, expand your culinary know-how, and create memorable ways to entertain.

- Each cooking class is approximately 3 hours long (plus set-up and clean-up time) – 6 hours maximum.
- Pricing & requirements
- $98 per person
- Minimum 6 people; Maximum 12 people
Cost Includes menu planning, food ingredients for standard menus, transportation to your kitchen, culinary education, recipe packet, set up, and clean up.
- For additional costs, we can provide the following:
- Cooking supplies and smallwares, such as cutting boards and knives, pots and pans.
- China, flatware, glasses and linens.
- Service staff.
- Ready-to-serve gourmet bites, antipasto platter, charcuterie & cheese board, or veggie platter.
